The Best Park in the World

Over the weekend, Cory and I decided to take a long bike ride to Elm Creek. It's about 10.5 miles round-trip (long for us!). We had no idea that the park at Elm Creek was the COOLEST park in the world! We will definitely make the trip again! The girls had a blast!

Cory and I have been horrible at remembering to have the girls brush their teeth every night. Good thing that the Good Night Show sings a song about it! The girls LOVE brushing their teeth, and they are getting pretty good at it!

Puppy love.

Most days, Mazy stays far away from Izzy and Ava. She gets tired of having her tail pulled, getting sat on, and being force fed fake food. But every once and awhile, she sneaks a snuggle from the girls... and it is so precious.

Still not ready.

Rainy days tend to be LONG days. We can't get out for a bike ride, or a walk, or even out to play in the yard. So I try to find different and fun things for the girls to do. They like to color, and play kitchen, feed their babies and all the animals, cart rides and read books. Yesterday, we took out the Play-Doh. We haven't played Play-Doh in a long time because the girls always try to sneak a bite when I'm not looking (or right in front of my face because they can't resist). Well, they still aren't ready. Our Play-Doh session was about 2 minutes long. We'll try again in a couple of weeks...

On a total different note... Ava has learned how to take her clothes off! This should be fun! She is so proud :)

Wordless Wednesday

SO big!

Over the weekend we went to a birthday party. There were lots of water toys, baby pools, splash pad etc. Izzy loved the scooter! My babies really aren't babies anymore. They are wanting to do everything by themselves. They try putting their own shoes on, brushing their hair and teeth, feeding themselves with a fork and spoon, and picking up their toys. They climb up to the big table and have snack on the big chairs. They even help mama vacuum! They are growing up WAY too fast!

We got a bike trailer!

For our "anniversary" we bought a double bike trailer. We got it last week and I assembled it right away. We have a ton of great trails around our house, and couldn't wait to take family bike rides.  A couple of days ago, Cory pumped up the tires and we were all set to take out first ride, and low and behold, we had a flat as we rode out of the driveway. So, the bike ride had to wait. Cory bought a replacement inner tube the next day. Too bad it happened to be the hottest day of the summer... but that didn't stop us! We took a semi-short ride around the neighborhood trails and when we got back we were all SUPER HOT! We decided a Popsicle would be the best remedy. Izzy was sure at first, but Ava sucked on hers until it was too cold to handle. We're excited for many more "cool" bike rides in the future!
