We're home!

After 4 days in the hospital, we are all home and officially a family of six... Whoa, SIX! Emerson Joli (5lbs 6oz) and Ashton Lee (6 lbs) were born on March 24th at 12:22 and 12:23 pm. They were born at 35 weeks and are incredibly healthy little babies. The doctors and nurses couldn't believe how healthy, beautiful, and well behaved they were (their words, not mine!) considering they were born at 35 weeks. Let's hope it stays that way. So far Izzy and Ava love to kiss "their babies" and help out with feeding and other small baby tasks (nukies, blankies, diaper fetching...). Cory and I have realized very quickly that we are both going to have to operate on very little sleep and it feels almost impossible to get everything done. Hopefully as time goes on, we will get into a routine and it will all become easier. This is our life now, and I wouldn't trade it for for the world.

This could mean trouble!

Looks like the girls aren't quite ready to give up their baby seats!

Snow much fun!

There has been so much snow lately, and the weather has been pretty mild, so Cory decided it was a good idea to take advantage of it! He rushed home from work to play with the girls in the snow. They loved every minute of it and didn't want to come inside for dinner. They may have to repeat this snow date again tomorrow. I would have loved to join them (Mazy did!), but unfortunately there are no snow pants large enough to allow me to play.

Day 1

Day 1- Cheese!

Day 2- Snowman time

Day 2- Snowball fight!

The end is near.

As I think back to my pregnancy with the girls, at this point (32 1/2 weeks), I was super uncomfortable, swelling beyond belief, and had terrible back pain. I'm happy to report that I have NO swelling, NO back pain, and I'm uncomfortable at times, but it's nothing to write home about. However, this pregnancy has had it's ups and downs. I've had low hemoglobin that required IV iron infusions, influenza A, and a nasty sinus infection. After 3 antibiotics and the infusions, I think I'm finally on the upswing of things. I really can't complain! I'm hoping the babies decide to cook for another 4 weeks. Time will tell! I'm posting a photo, which I hesitated to do... No comments please, lol!
