Wordless Wednesday

SO big!

Over the weekend we went to a birthday party. There were lots of water toys, baby pools, splash pad etc. Izzy loved the scooter! My babies really aren't babies anymore. They are wanting to do everything by themselves. They try putting their own shoes on, brushing their hair and teeth, feeding themselves with a fork and spoon, and picking up their toys. They climb up to the big table and have snack on the big chairs. They even help mama vacuum! They are growing up WAY too fast!

We got a bike trailer!

For our "anniversary" we bought a double bike trailer. We got it last week and I assembled it right away. We have a ton of great trails around our house, and couldn't wait to take family bike rides.  A couple of days ago, Cory pumped up the tires and we were all set to take out first ride, and low and behold, we had a flat as we rode out of the driveway. So, the bike ride had to wait. Cory bought a replacement inner tube the next day. Too bad it happened to be the hottest day of the summer... but that didn't stop us! We took a semi-short ride around the neighborhood trails and when we got back we were all SUPER HOT! We decided a Popsicle would be the best remedy. Izzy was sure at first, but Ava sucked on hers until it was too cold to handle. We're excited for many more "cool" bike rides in the future!

It has been HOT lately! We've had a few days at grandma and grandpa's pool, park trips, and good old fashion fun in the backyard (which is starting to resemble a mini-playground). Tomorrow we are heading to the mall! We need a little break from the outdoors :)

Wordless Wednesday

Silly sisters.

Izzy and Ava are starting to interact and play with each other a ton more lately. It's so fun to watch their little personalities blossom. Izzy goes from a super serious, little lady, to a crazy silly monkey in the drop of a hat. Ava is a tease. Enough said! She loves to goof around and make her audience giggle and smile. I feel so lucky that I get to stay home with the girls over the summer. There is never a dull moment in the Hovanetz household, that's for sure!

Fun on a rainy day.

It gets to be a long day when you can't take the girls out for an hour long walk, go to the park, or even just play in the yard. So on this rainy day, we stayed in our pjs and did a bunch of fun things! We started with coloring, then cart rides, we built towers and knocked them down, and we all took a 2 1/2 hour nap. All in all, I'd say it's been a great day.
